Therapy that looks at the whole picture — not just what you're feeling now, but where it started.
Most therapy focuses on thoughts and behaviors — the "top" of our experience. My approach works bottom-up, starting with the body, emotions, and the deeper experiences that shaped your nervous system and sense of self.
This means we look at where your current struggles began — not to revisit the past for its own sake, but because understanding the roots of a pattern is the most reliable way to change it.
Understanding the different "parts" of yourself — including the ones that protect you, sometimes at a cost.
Developing awareness of your own experience — thoughts, feelings, sensations — without being controlled by them.
Exploring how your earliest relational experiences shaped the ways you connect (or disconnect) with others today.
Sessions are conversational but purposeful. I ask questions that go below the surface. We pay attention to what's happening not just in your mind, but in your body and your relational patterns. I offer observations and guidance — but you are the expert on your own experience.
I work with adults, teens, and couples. For teens, the work looks somewhat different — more relational, more collaborative with parents where appropriate, and always attentive to where the teenager is developmentally.
